Knaresborough
Town Council seeks a highly motivated, enthusiastic person to take on the newly
created role of Programmes Officer.
The post is part time, 23 hours per week, with some evening and weekend work included to attend meetings and events.
· Salary in accordance with National Joint Council recommendations; SCP 16, pay £17,581 per annum (based on 37 hours per week full time equivalent £28,282).
· Pension and local government employment conditions.
Applicant must be IT literate, able to use Microsoft Office applications; ability to work with others and to deadlines is required. Experience of fund raising is essential with experience of events organisation an advantage. Training towards relevant qualifications will be given if required.
Duties will include: planning and implementing Town Council projects and also working in partnership with other groups in the town supporting them in the delivery of their projects where Town Council is a partner. The post holder will take a lead role in identifying funding sources to support Council initiatives and in planning and implementing Town Council events such as the annual Christmas light switch on.
