Knaresborough wants to be in it to win it!!

We’re considering an Expression of Interest for the Town of Culture 2028 competition, and we want YOU right at the heart of it.

Our town is bursting with creativity, heritage, and community spirit — and now we have the chance to showcase it on a national stage as part of the Town of Culture 2028 Competition. This is the first step in that journey.

There’s a tight deadline:

The first stage of the competition is an Expression of Interest which must be submitted by 31 March 2026. That means we’re moving fast — and that’s why we’re bringing the community together this Monday.

Join us for an open, idea-sharing session hosted by the Town Council. Whether you’re an artist, volunteer, community group, storyteller, local business owner, or simply someone who loves this town, your ideas can help shape Knaresborough’s bid for Town of Culture 2028.
