Knaresborough is an historic market town and civil parish in the Borough of Harrogate, North Yorkshire located on the River Nidd, approximately four miles east of the centre of Harrogate.

Please note that the Town Council Office will be closed on Wednesday 14 October 2026 for routine maintenance.
We will reopen on Thursday 15 October 2026 and resume our usual opening hours of 9.00am to 12.30pm, Monday to Thursday.
