Knaresborough is an historic market town and civil parish in the Borough of Harrogate, North Yorkshire located on the River Nidd, approximately four miles east of the centre of Harrogate.


Coronavirus (COVID-19) 

 

The Town Council Office is open to all members of the public, however the main entrance to Knaresborough House remains locked. This is a precautionary measure to continue to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 and provide extra security to those that work in the building.  For access, please call the office on 01423 864080.

We will be access emails regularly - clerk@knaresboroughtowncouncil.gov.uk and we will deal with queries as swiftly as possible. Individual Town Councillors can be contacted via their email addresses, please visit our Councillors page or click here.

Knaresborough Connectors

If you are self-isolating in Knaresborough and need support then a special helpline has been set up to connect you to a volunteer service.  Ring the number above and leave a message or email info@knaresboroughconnectors.org.uk where there are a team of volunteers ready to respond within hours.  They are able to pick up shopping, have a friendly phone chat, help with pets, post mail and pick up supplies and medicines.  The team can even help to get items for hobbies like wool for knitting.

 

 

Volunteers are needed to add to the army of over 100 people leafletting households as part of their single daily exercise routine with details of the service.  Volunteers need to email info@knaresboroughconnectors.org.uk with their name and address. 

Knaresborough Coronavirus Support Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/522601098671644/ is crammed with ideas including activities for kids, health advice and links to a number of groups that will provide critical support to all of us whether vulnerable, a key worker or social distancing resident.  

Knaresborough businesses are also continuing to pull out all the stops to deliver, even though many retail outlets have had to close their physical doors.
